1. Sometimes a door that sticks can be fixed simply by installing a 3" drywall screw into the top hinge of the door.
   
   This works because most doors will start leaning towards the doorknob side due to gravity.
   
   The long screws usually pull the door back into position and eliminates the typical sticking of the top of the door against the jamb.



2. If your door is sticking at another point, then you most likely will have to lightly sand the friction point and then refinish the paint/stain.
   
   Another technique that sometimes works is to apply a little Vaseline on the sticking surfaces.
